Inflatable Kayaking - Ahansel River
For anyone who has done plenty of rafting and a little kayaking, this is a perfect way to experience even more thrills than going rafting. Our inflatable kayaks are accompanied by safety kayakers, so we'll keep an eye on you the whole way down the river. You'll be reponsible for directing and paddling your boat through all the same rapids that we raft through. You also of course have the option of getting into the raft for some of the bigger rapids that you decide not to run. Day 1
We'll collect you from your hotel or Riad in Marrakech (don't forget we can also arrange transfers and hotels for you) and take the scenic drive away from Marrakech towards Cascade D'Ouzoud, Morocco's highest and most impressive waterfalls where we will have a lunch of Tagine (chicken stew) over looking the impressive waterfall. After a walk down and around the many souvenir shops we depart for Bin El Ouidane, the impressive lake where the Ahansal flows into. We drive towards the Ahansel River, over the Atlas Mountains, framed with stunning views of the area. After a brief tea stop in Tiloguite, we walk into our base camp where your boats are all set up alongside our comfortable Berber tents.

Day 2
Let the fun begin! After a filling breakfast with the rest of your crew and hot drinks, you'll have a safety talk from the team of guides as well as paddling instructions before you head off behind the safety kayakers and rafts on your adventure. You'll quickly come to grips with these very manouvreable craft as you'll find it easy to paddle into waves and also stop on the side of the river when necessary. Rapids will come at you all morning as we tackle the Squeeze, The Wall and Wee Stinky before we stop for lunch on the side of the river. You'll get a filling lunch, before we tackle the afternoon section with the highlight, Rock the Casbah. Early afternoon, we'll reach camp where you can enjoy snacks and a drink from the cash bar. All your equipment will be carried down in the rafts so when you are ready, find yourself a spot in the Berber tents and let the sound of the river, send you to sleep.

Day 3
Our final day on ther Ahansal sees us paddle some spectacular gorge sections and rapids including Cheeky Monkey and numerous others until we reach the lake at Bin El Ouidane where we are met by our motor boat. Here we tie all the rafts together in a big line, as well as your inflatable kayak, as we motor across the lake to the waiting vehicle. After a sauna or soak in the jacuzzi, we'll get a lovely lunch and take the 3 hour drive back to Marrakech where you'll be dropped off at your Riad. Here you'll get a CD of photos and we often go out for meal together.
